October 24-25 Judge: John Staples. The Derby will be preceded by 2 days of clinics with John Staples.

The Event Derby competition consists of a Dressage Test followed by a Jumping Course combining both stadium and cross-country fences. There are approximately 12-22 obstacles, on varied terrain that may include banks, ditches and water (optional).

ENTRIES: Entrants are encouraged to enter more than one class! Send to 64 Goose Downs Road , Galisteo , NM 87540 . Negative Coggins within 12 months required with entry.

Make checks payable to The Organizing Committee. $50.00 per division for The Event Derby™ (ride in two full T.E.D. divisions and get the second ride for $30). $20.00 for Jumping Course only, $30 for Dressage Test only (additional Dressage only tests $20 a test). POST ENTRY for do over rounds (not judged) $10.00 payable at the gate.

Dressage Only Entries Are Welcome Test of Choice! See Class #10 for more information. For other information, including forms and directions, visit our website: Jumping Classes will be scheduled starting with B eginner Novice and progressing up to Preliminary. This allows schooling of the lower levels first.

The Event Derbyis an unrecognized competition, adhering as closely as possible to USEA and USA Equestrian Rules. The Event Derby™ provides a safe and inviting venue for first-time competitors, green horses, as well as seasoned competitors. The Event Derby™ provides cross-training for both horse and rider, regardless of their equestrian discipline. Riders are encouraged to enter more than one class (see discount information below).
