Santa Fe Pony Club

The Santa Fe Pony Club is Back!

The Santa Fe Pony Club, in conjunction with Goose Downs Farm, offered a 3 day camp to new and prospective Pony Club members July 20th - 22nd. The five girls who participated came from all around northern New Mexico. They spent the three days with Instructor Kiersti Wylie from the Sandia Creek Ranch Pony Club Center and her assistant, Elizabeth Collier, learning about riding on the flat, jumping and cross country riding. They also studied their horse management, tried vaulting and mounted games and when the heat got to be too much had a pool party at El Gancho courtesy of Jt DC Anne Wrinkle. The last day riders, instructors and horses squared off for a mounted games team competition. That provided lots of laughs and a perfect end to the camp.

We thank Kiersti and Elizabeth for sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for Pony Club with our new group. And we all wish Kiersti "Good Luck" as she goes for her "A" rating this August.

$120 for participants/Auditing Fee: $40/full day; $25/half day

SFPC Ratings from D1 and up; let Jeffray know what level you are interested in.
At Goose Downs Farm, 1-4 pm
Remember, you need to be a PC member for at least 30 days prior to rating!
